![]() ![]() Now that we have covered werewolves, we can move onto the vampires. The whole “being a poison for werewolves” is more than just a myth, it’s a real poison. Even touching the plant can cause severe reactions. No part of the plant should ever be eaten, or even touched. Now before you crazy kids run off to down some wolfsbane for a good time there’s one big thing you should know – this stuff is deadly! You would have to take a fatal dose to get those trippy effects. This poison caused tingling on the skin followed by numbness, and it could also cause hallucinations. Aconite was supposedly an ingredient used by witches for magical ointments. However, in the movie The Wolfman it is mentioned that moonlight and flowering wolfsbane are needed to cause the transformation from man to wolf.īefore I continue onto the vampire part of this post I should point out the poisonous parts of the plant. But unfortunately for her it didn’t work, all it did was make her sick. ![]() For example, in the book Kitty and the Midnight Hour, the new werewolf, Kitty, tries to free herself from the curse by drinking some wolfsbane tea on the night of a full moon. In modern day fiction wolfsbane is used in nearly every werewolf story. It can even make a werewolf run away… or die, just by the were smelling it or eating it. In folklore, wolfsbane is usually used as a werewolf repellent, protecting people from the big bad wolf. Both wolfsbane and monkshood are related to each other (both are toxic) and their significance in folklore is fairly mixed, causing a fusion of ideas. Wolfsbane is actually one of hundreds in the aconite family, as is monkshood. and then fired or stabbed into the animal’s body, this toxin is fatal. When mixed with bait and eaten by a wolf, or even put on arrowheads, knives, swords… etc. That’s right, I’m getting all historical on your asses again.Īs its name clearly tells us, this plant isn’t exactly wolf friendly, in fact, it is a very deadly poison. To fully grasp the power and beliefs behind wolfsbane we’re going to take a trip to the past and learn about the history of the plant. The reason being that this deadly poison wasn’t only used against werewolves it was also used upon vampires as well. My ID is Axoodles! <3Įdit: The Wolf-B-Gone is appearing empty when downloaded unfortunately but the ingredients are all there. You may wonder why I am writing about wolfsbane, a plant known for destroying werewolves, on a site about vampires. I hope this helped some people as I was stumped trying to figure this out! <3įor anyone just wanting to grab the cure or the required item's I've posted a room on the gallery with the book, 3 moonpetals, 10 wolfsbane and a Wolf-B-Gone. Step 5) You can now go ahead and make the cure at a bar! Your sim must be in their human form to drink it and then you will be cured. So just read the book, then queue up a lot of re-reads until you finally get the below pop-up. You have the chance to also unlock the Moonpetal Punch while reading. Step 4) It's time to read! Your sim will have to read the diary first, and then re-read it. ![]() It took me about 10 minutes on speed 3 to actually find it with both of my werewolves scavenging so my luck wasn't great. It's a book that seemingly can only be found via scavenging (or betterbuildbuy if you're having no luck). Your wolf will have to have the scavenge ability and you'll need to scavenge around the world until you obtain the "Diary of Greggorius Lunvik". Step 3) Now you need the recipe! This was the most annoying part of the entire process. These are: (1) By the 30x30 empty residential lot and (2) by the Howling Point (Mountain thing).įor the Moonpetal you can obtain it at the top of the Howling Point but it is only harvestable during a full moon! If you use BetterBuildBuy you can grab it from there as well but it must be the Moonpetal in the jar. There's a couple of Wolfsbane plants in the world that I'm aware of. Step 2) You'll need to gather Wolfsbane and Moonpetals. You'll eventually get a pop-up to let you know it's unlocked! To do this, I'd recommend sending your sim to the library and reading every book there, re-reading if you have to. Step 1) You first need to gain the Lunar Epiphany Dormant Ability. This is the method that worked for me so I apologise if it doesn't replicate for others. There may be other methods to getting both the recipe or Greg's diary. Hi! After being incredibly confused on how to cure my werewolf, I finally have the answer for those looking for it! I am not claiming this as the only method or that it has 100% efficency. ![]()
